Artist-in-residence Koh Nguang How’s “SAAP@CCA” presents how an artist’s approach with an archive can actively engage in the construction and revision of art history in Singapore.

This exhibition is based on rare materials from Shui Tit Sing’s personal archives representing a microcosm of artists’ practice at a time that had been shaped by rapid globalisation. Shui was  an active member of Singapore’s arts community in the 60s and 70s, whose oeuvre had been shaped by Western painting training in China and travels to Cambodia and Thailand in the 60s - a “golden age” of Southeast Asia.

Koh’s is in residence until 31 October 2014.
