SESSION 1: INVESTING IN ART
Even to seasoned buyers the art market can be very confusing. The course in this section discusses the ‘mysteries’ that surround collecting fine art, and addresses the use of art as a potential investment vehicle. Participants will gain a better understanding of market mechanisms and research avenues in order to refine buying and collecting strategies. The course also introduces key concerns when building an art collection and provides guidance for developing a focused and meaningful collection.

SESSION 2: REMINISCING ABOUT THE WAY WE WERE: SINGAPORE STREET PHOTOGRAPHY by artist Loke Hong Seng
Artist Engagement: History of a Photograph in Singapore, Techniques, and Composition for Photography.
Join Artist Loke Hong Seng, fine art photographer, active in capturing street scenes and daily life from 1970s Singapore, as he talks about this extensive 300+ archive of Singapore’s history captured in film, about the compositions and the chosen subject matters. He will also provide insight into his intentions and motivations in making art at a time when there was no market for fine art photography.

This series is for beginners to investing in art and for those interested in collecting fine art photography. This series is also for those interested in Singapore's history through photographs and the history of Singapore’s street art photography.
