'Scene 01 (In silence we hope)' is an illustration that explores the relationship between solitude, people and their surroundings. It investigates social isolation as a form of self-alienation and togetherness. It explores emotional togetherness and harmony through shared isolation. Filled with both intense and soft ‘ink droplets’, 'Scene 01 (In silence we hope)' looks into the transitory aspect of isolation, depicting figures in isolation juxtaposed within a ‘crowd’, examining the concept of togetherness while discussing the notion of hope, its importance and existence within times of isolation and alienation. The use of a monochromatic colour scheme and gradient reflects both the shared struggles and unity between each individual.
