Exploring the intersections between editorial and curatorial work, Curator-in-Residence, Anne Szefer Karlsen discusses the Scandinavian art book series, Dublett. Currently on its fourth edition, each consists a new artist’s book and an anthology of commissioned texts on the artist or project at hand, written by contributors from a variety of disciplines that aims to cultivate art mediation within a book format. 

BIOGRAPHY 

Anne Szefer Karlsen is a curator, writer and editor, interested in artistic and curatorial collaborations as well as developing the language that surrounds art productions of today. She is currently Associate Professor for MA Curatorial Practice at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Norway. She was Director of Hordaland Art Centre in Bergen (2008-2014) and curator for The Norwegian Sculpture Biennale (2015). Her writing has appeared in journals such as Billedkunst, kunstkritikk.no and Afterall.
