Visiting art historian and curator Julia Moritz, will play off some ideas on convening, cohabiting, combating and, importantly, walking – as an opportunity to consider issues of psycho-geography, public programming, and artistic research. Unresolved issues, that do not only harbour the capacity to analyse the meaning of motion in art and thinking, but that themselves traverse various fields of theory and praxis including some crucial changes in speed and structure, and perhaps a tendency towards symbiotic rather than symbolic relations.
Julia Moritz is “Curator of Theory and Programmes” at Kunsthalle Zürich and has headed The Maybe Education and Public Programs of dOCUMENTA (13). Previous collaborations include Univeristy of Lüneburg, Manifesta 7, the German Pavilion at the 52th Biennale di Venezia and several other independently curated projects.
